Melosi Deli is the culmination of over 75 years of authentic Italian heritage, craftsmanship, and a deep-rooted passion for bringing people together around the table. Located in the Manufactor Precinct in Penrith, our deli is more than just a place to shop. Four Generations of Passion
Our history is defined by a commitment to the time-honoured traditions of Italian charcuterie.
- The Foundations (1949): The journey began when grandfather Wily Melosi built the family’s first factory in Yennora. He introduced traditional curing methods brought straight from his birthplace of Montecatini, Tuscany.
- Mastering the Craft: Roland Melosi commenced his apprenticeship under his father’s watchful eye at just 16 years old. Roland spent decades refining his skills, eventually being inducted into the Food Hall of Fame and receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award for his industry expertise.
- The Next Generation: Today, the legacy continues through Roland and his son, Giovanni Melosi. As a fourth-generation family member, Giovanni channels decades of inherited knowledge into the deli. He ensures every product reflects the recipes passed down through the ages.
